Treatment & Approach
About Integrative Health Treatment
Which health concerns does an integrative health clinic treat?
*I support patients with chronic and stress-related conditions such as persistent fatigue, hormonal imbalance, digestive complaints, sleep disturbances, headaches, and immune dysregulation. My focus is on identifying and addressing root causes to restore physiological balance.
How is integrative medicine different from conventional medicine?
*I integrate conventional medical knowledge with functional and lifestyle medicine. Rather than suppressing symptoms, I assess underlying drivers such as metabolic health, gut function, hormonal regulation, and stress physiology.
Is mesology and integrative medicine scientifically grounded?
*Yes. My work is evidence-informed and guided by current scientific insights, clinical expertise, and individualized assessment.
What can I expect during the first consultation at your Amsterdam clinic?
*Your initial consultation is an in-depth medical assessment (90 minutes for Intake and 60 minutes for Follow-up consult). I review your medical history, lifestyle factors, nutrition, stress profile, and previous diagnostics. Based on this analysis, we design a personalized treatment strategy.
How long does integrative health treatment take?
*Follow-up consultations typically last 60 minutes. For new patients, the Intake consult takes around 90 minutes. The overall duration of care depends on the complexity of your condition and your health objectives.
When will I notice results from holistic treatment?
*Some patients experience early improvements within weeks. Chronic or long-standing complaints generally require a structured process over several months to achieve sustainable change.
Can integrative treatment be combined with regular medical care?
*Yes. The treatment is designed to complement conventional healthcare. Collaboration with your GP or medical specialist is encouraged.
Are integrative health treatments safe?
*All interventions are carefully selected based on your medical history and current health status. Safety and professional standards are central to my practice.
Is holistic treatment possible during pregnancy?
*Yes, my treatment is always tailored with caution. The treatment can be safely adapted during pregnancy. Collaboration with your GP or medical specialist is encouraged.
