    How I handle your personal and medical information at Integrative Health Clinic Amsterdam — in line with the GDPR and the Dutch Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO).

    1. Who I am

    This Privacy Policy applies to Integrative Health Clinic, operated by Adriana Guarin, certified therapist, located at Kiekstraat 71D, 1087GK Amsterdam, the Netherlands (KvK 98618644, BTW NL868571416B01, AGB 90096346). I act as the data controller for all personal data processed in the context of my practice.

    2. Data I collect

    I process personal data that you provide directly during consultations, via the contact form, by phone, by email, or through the online booking system. This may include:
    • Identifying information: name, date of birth, address, email, phone number.
    • Health information: medical history, current symptoms, lifestyle factors, medications, laboratory results.
    • Appointment and billing information: consultation dates, invoices, payment status.
    • Technical information: anonymous website analytics (functional cookies only).

    3. Why I process your data

    Your data is processed for the following purposes:
    To provide integrative health consultations and establish a treatment agreement.
    To maintain a medical file in accordance with the Dutch Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO).
    To communicate about appointments, results, and follow-up care.
    To send invoices and process payments.
    To comply with legal and professional obligations.

    4. Legal basis

    I process your personal data on the basis of (a) the treatment agreement between you and me, (b) your explicit consent for processing health data, (c) legal obligations under the WGBO and Dutch tax law, and (d) my legitimate interest in running a professional practice.

    5. Sharing with third parties

    Your data is never sold. I only share data with third parties when strictly necessary or legally required. This may include:
    • My secure practice management and online booking system (MijnDiad).
    • My accountant, for invoicing and tax purposes (limited to billing data).
    • Your GP or specialist, only with your explicit consent.
    • Government authorities, when required by law.
    All processors are bound by a data processing agreement and meet GDPR requirements.

    6. How long I keep your data

    Medical files are retained for 20 years from the last consultation, as required by the WGBO. Billing data is retained for 7 years in line with Dutch tax law. Other personal data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected.

    7. Security

    I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. All digital records are stored on secured systems with restricted access; physical records are kept in a locked location.

    8. Your rights

    Under the GDPR you have the right to:

    Access the personal data I hold about you.
    Have inaccurate data corrected.
    Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
    Restrict or object to processing.
    Receive your data in a portable format.
    Withdraw your consent at any time.

    9. Cookies

    This website uses only functional cookies that are necessary for the site to operate correctly. No tracking or advertising cookies are used without your consent.

    10. Changes to this policy

    This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in legislation or in my practice. The latest version is always available on this page.
